Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on a clean, dry, level, heat-resistant surface away from edges, cabinets, and flammable materials.

  1. Remove all packaging materials and stickers from the toaster.
  2. Ensure the crumb tray is securely in place.
  3. Plug the power cord into a standard 120V AC, 60Hz electrical outlet.
  4. Before first use, operate the toaster without any food on the highest setting to burn off any manufacturing residues. Ensure the room is well-ventilated.

WARNING! Keep the toaster away from water and other liquids. Do not use outdoors. Ensure there is ample clearance on all sides during operation.

First-Time Setup

After the initial burn-off cycle, the toaster is ready for use.

  1. Select Browning Level: Turn the shade selector dial to your preferred setting (1-6).
  2. Insert Food: Place bread, bagel, or pastry into the extra-wide slots. Do not force items.
  3. Lower Carriage: Push the carriage lever down until it locks. The toasting cycle will begin.
  4. Retrieve Food: When the cycle is complete, the carriage will rise automatically. Use the high-lift lever if needed.

CAUTION! Never insert metal utensils, fingers, or oversized food. Do not cover the toaster during use.

Controls and Settings

All controls are located on the front of the toaster.

Shade Selector Dial: Turn to select browning level (1=Lightest, 6=Darkest).

Bagel Button: Press before lowering the lever to activate the bagel function (toasts cut side only). The button will light up.

Defrost Button: Press before lowering the lever to add extra time for toasting frozen items. The button will light up.

Reheat Button: Press before lowering the lever to warm items without additional browning. The button will light up.

Cancel Button: Press at any time to stop the toasting cycle and raise the carriage immediately.

Carriage Lever: Push down to lower food into the slots and start the toasting cycle. The high-lift feature allows you to raise it further for retrieval.

Using the Toaster

For optimal results, use the correct settings for different food types.

  1. Basic Toasting: Set shade dial, insert food, lower lever.
  2. Bagels: Split bagel. Press BAGEL button, insert with cut side facing the center, lower lever.
  3. Frozen Waffles/Bread: Press DEFROST button, set shade dial, insert food, lower lever.
  4. Reheating Toast: Press REHEAT button, insert previously toasted item, lower lever.
  5. Canceling: Press CANCEL button at any time to stop.

Tip: For even toasting, center the food in the slot. Do not toast broken or torn items that may get stuck.

Special Functions

Combining Functions: The DEFROST and REHEAT functions can be used together. For example, to reheat a frozen waffle, press both DEFROST and REHEAT before lowering the lever.

High-Lift Lever: After toasting, you can manually lift the carriage lever higher than its automatic stop point to safely retrieve small items like pastry heels or English muffin halves.

One-Slice Toasting: You can toast a single slice in either slot. There is no need to adjust settings.

Care & Cleaning

Always unplug the toaster and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.

  1. Exterior: Wipe with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
  2. Crumb Tray: Slide out the crumb tray located at the bottom of the toaster. Empty and wipe clean. Ensure it is completely dry before reinserting.
  3. Interior: Turn the toaster upside down over a trash can and gently shake to dislodge loose crumbs. Never insert any object into the slots.

CAUTION! Do not immerse the toaster, cord, or plug in water or any liquid. Never use the toaster if the crumb tray is not in place.
