Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on clean, dry, level surface.

  1. Remove all packaging materials from carafe, filter basket, and water reservoir.
  2. Wash carafe, filter basket, and measuring scoop with warm, soapy water. Rinse and dry.
  3. Insert charcoal water filter into filter holder in water reservoir (soak filter 15 minutes first).
  4. Fill water reservoir with clean water and run a brewing cycle without coffee to clean interior.

WARNING! Do not immerse base, cord, or plug in water. Ensure hands are dry when handling.

First-Time Setup

Plug into 120V AC outlet; follow initial setup steps.

  1. Set clock: Press and hold PROGRAM, then use HOUR and MIN buttons to set current time.
  2. Program brew time: Press PROGRAM, then set desired brew time using HOUR/MIN.
  3. Set auto shut-off: Press and hold AUTO OFF, select duration (0, 1, 2, or 4 hours).
  4. Test brew: Add water and coffee, press BREW to ensure proper operation.

CAUTION! Ensure carafe is properly seated on warming base before brewing.

Brewing Coffee

Supports ground coffee; use 1 level scoop per cup.

  1. Fill reservoir: Add desired amount of water (up to 10 cups).
  2. Add coffee: Place filter in basket, add ground coffee (adjust for strength).
  3. Brew: Press BREW for immediate brew, or set programmed time.
  4. Pause: Press BREW PAUSE to interrupt and pour a cup.
  5. 1-4 Cup Setting: Press 1-4 CUP button when brewing small amounts.
  6. Auto Shut-Off: Coffee maker turns off after selected time (0-4 hours).

Tip: For best results, use fresh, cold water and grind coffee just before brewing.

Cleaning & Maintenance

Unplug before cleaning. Clean carafe, filter basket, and scoop after each use.

  1. Exterior: Wipe with damp cloth; do not use abrasive cleaners.
  2. Interior Cleaning: Run self-clean cycle monthly (press CLEAN, follow instructions).
  3. Descaling: Use vinegar solution every 3-6 months to remove mineral deposits.
  4. Filter Basket: Remove and wash with warm, soapy water.

CAUTION! Never immerse base in water. Ensure all parts are dry before reassembly.

Water Filter Replacement

Replace charcoal water filter every 60 cycles or 2 months.

  1. Remove old filter: Lift filter holder from reservoir, discard used filter.
  2. Prepare new filter: Soak in cold water for 15 minutes, rinse under tap.
  3. Insert filter: Place into filter holder, reinsert into reservoir.
  4. Reset filter indicator: Hold PROGRAM and CLEAN for 3 seconds (if equipped).

Note: Using filter improves taste and reduces mineral buildup.
