Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on clean, dry, level surface.

  1. Remove all packaging materials from coffeemaker and carafe.
  2. Wash carafe, filter basket, and gold-tone filter with warm, soapy water. Rinse and dry.
  3. Insert charcoal water filter into filter holder in water reservoir (soak filter 15 minutes first).
  4. Place empty carafe on warming plate.
  5. Plug into 120V AC outlet.

WARNING! Do not immerse coffeemaker base, cord, or plug in water. Keep away from heat sources.

First-Time Setup

Plug in coffeemaker; follow control panel prompts.

  1. Set clock: Press and hold CLOCK button, use HOUR and MIN buttons to set time.
  2. Prime the system: Fill reservoir with water, place empty carafe, press BREW to run water through.
  3. Program auto brew: Press PROG, set brew time using HOUR/MIN, press BREW to confirm.

  3. Brew: Press BREW for immediate brew, or set programmed time.
  4. Pause: Press BREW PAUSE to interrupt brewing and pour a cup.
  5. Auto shut-off: Coffee will stay warm on plate for set time (0-4 hours).

Tip: For best flavor, use cold, filtered water and fresh coffee grounds.

Cleaning & Maintenance

Unplug before cleaning. Clean carafe, filter basket, and gold-tone filter after each use.

  1. Daily: Wash carafe and filter with warm, soapy water. Rinse and dry.
  2. Monthly: Run self-cleaning cycle with vinegar solution (1 part vinegar to 2 parts water).
  3. Filter replacement: Replace charcoal water filter every 60 brews or 2 months.
  4. Exterior: Wipe with damp cloth; do not use abrasive cleaners.

CAUTION! Never immerse coffeemaker base in water. Do not use harsh chemicals.
