Installation & Setup

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on clean, dry, level surface.

  1. Remove all packaging materials from carafe, filter, and hopper.
  2. Wash carafe, lid, and permanent filter with warm, soapy water; rinse thoroughly.
  3. Insert charcoal water filter into reservoir: Soak filter in water for 15 minutes, then place in holder.
  4. Fill water reservoir with cold water to desired cup level.
  5. Plug into 120V AC outlet.

WARNING! Do not immerse base, cord, or plug in water. Keep away from heat sources.

First-Time Use

Before first brew, run a cleaning cycle to remove any residues.

  1. Fill reservoir with water to MAX line (12 cups).
  2. Place empty carafe on warming plate.
  3. Press and hold CLEAN button for 3 seconds; cycle will run for about 30 minutes.
  4. After cycle, discard water from carafe and rinse.
  5. Set time: Press CLOCK, then HOUR and MIN to set current time.

CAUTION! Ensure carafe is properly seated before brewing to prevent spills.

Programming the Timer

Set the timer for automatic brewing.

  2. Fill bean hopper with coffee beans and water reservoir with water.
  3. Place empty carafe on warming plate.
  4. Press TIMER; display shows "SET TIME".
  5. Use HOUR and MIN to set desired brew time.
  6. Press TIMER again to confirm.
  7. LED will light when timer is set.

Tip: For best results, use fresh, cold water and whole beans.

Brewing Coffee

Supports whole bean or pre-ground coffee.

  1. Fill water reservoir to desired cup level (1-12).
  2. Add whole beans to hopper (max ½ lb) or select GRIND-OFF for pre-ground.
  3. Select grind size (1-10) using GRIND button.
  4. Select brew strength using STRENGTH button.
  5. Place carafe on warming plate.
  6. Press BREW to start immediate brewing or wait for timer.
  7. When brewing completes, auto shut-off engages.

WARNING! Do not remove carafe during brewing. Hot steam may cause burns.

Cleaning & Maintenance

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance.

Daily: Rinse carafe and filter basket. Wipe exterior with damp cloth.

Weekly: Run cleaning cycle: Fill reservoir with equal parts water and vinegar, press CLEAN, then run two cycles with clean water.

Monthly: Clean grinder: Remove bean hopper and wipe with dry cloth. Do not immerse grinder in water.

Charcoal Filter: Replace every 60 days or as needed.

CAUTION! Unplug before cleaning. Never use abrasive cleaners.
