Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on clean, dry, level surface.

  1. Remove all packaging materials and stickers.
  2. Wash carafe, filter basket, and charcoal filter with warm, soapy water; rinse thoroughly.
  3. Insert charcoal water filter into filter holder in water reservoir.
  4. Fill water reservoir completely and run a brew cycle without coffee to clean interior.
  5. Plug into 120V AC outlet.

WARNING! Do not immerse base, cord, or plug in water. Keep away from heat sources.

First-Time Setup

Power on unit; set clock and program auto-brew if desired.

  1. Set clock: Press and hold CLOCK button, then use HOUR and MIN buttons to set time.
  2. Program auto-brew: Press PROG button, set brew time using HOUR and MIN, then press AUTO ON.
  3. Adjust grind: Turn grind selector knob to desired setting (coarse to fine).
  4. Select brew strength: Press BREW STRENGTH for regular or bold.

CAUTION! Ensure carafe is properly seated on warming plate before brewing.

Brewing Coffee

Supports whole bean or pre-ground coffee.

  1. Fill water reservoir to desired cup level.
  2. Add whole beans to bean hopper (for grind & brew) or place pre-ground coffee in filter basket.
  3. Place empty carafe on warming plate.
  4. Select grind setting and brew strength.
  5. Press POWER to start brewing immediately, or set auto-brew timer.
  6. Pause-and-serve: Lift carafe during brewing to pour a cup, then replace to continue brewing.
  7. When brewing completes, auto-shutoff turns unit off after 2 hours.

WARNING! Do not remove carafe during brewing unless using pause-and-serve feature.

Cleaning & Maintenance

Unplug before cleaning. Clean after each use.

  1. Carafe and filter basket: Wash with warm, soapy water; rinse thoroughly.
  2. Grinder: Wipe with dry cloth; do not wash.
  3. Charcoal filter: Replace every 60 uses or 2 months.
  4. Descale: Run vinegar solution through brew cycle monthly if using hard water.
  5. CLEAN indicator: Light stays on when cleaning is required; press and hold CLEAN for 3 seconds to reset after cleaning.

CAUTION! Do not use abrasive cleaners; never immerse base in water.

Safety Features

Auto-shutoff: Turns off 2 hours after brewing completes. Pause-and-serve: Allows safe serving during brew cycle. Overheat protection: Prevents damage if unit overheats.
