Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on clean, dry, level surface.

  1. Remove all packaging materials and tape.
  2. Wash carafe lid and filter basket in warm, soapy water.
  3. Insert charcoal water filter into filter holder; soak filter completely.
  4. Fill water reservoir with cold water; run a brewing cycle without coffee to clean.
  5. Plug into 120V AC outlet.

WARNING! Do not immerse base, cord, or plug in water. Keep away from heat sources.

First-Time Setup

Plug in unit; follow initial setup steps.

  1. Set clock: Press and hold CLOCK, use HOUR/MINUTE buttons.
  2. Insert water filter: Place soaked filter into holder in reservoir.
  3. Select brew strength: Use BREW STRENGTH button for Regular or Bold.
  4. Set auto shut-off: Press AUTO OFF to select 0-4 hours.
  5. Prime the system: Run a full cycle with water only.

CAUTION! Ensure carafe is properly seated on warming plate before brewing.

Brewing Coffee

For whole bean or pre-ground coffee.

  1. Fill reservoir with cold water to desired cup level.
  2. Add whole beans to grinder hopper (or pre-ground to filter basket if GRIND OFF).
  3. Place paper filter in filter basket (or permanent filter).
  4. Ensure carafe is properly seated on base.
  5. Press POWER to start brewing immediately, or set PROGRAM for delayed brew.
  6. Brewing begins: Grinder activates (if whole beans), then brewing starts.
  7. Pause & Serve: Lift carafe during brewing to pour a cup.
  8. When complete, audible beep sounds; auto shut-off activates.

Tip: Use fresh, cold water and whole beans for best flavor.

Cleaning & Maintenance

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance.

  1. Daily: Wash carafe, lid, and filter basket in warm, soapy water.
  2. Monthly: Descale with vinegar solution (1 part vinegar to 2 parts water).
  3. Water filter: Replace every 60 cycles or 2 months.
  4. Grinder cleaning: Wipe hopper with dry cloth; do not immerse.
  5. Exterior: Wipe with damp cloth; never use abrasive cleaners.

WARNING! Unplug before cleaning. Never immerse base in water.

Programming

Set the unit to brew automatically at a specific time.

  1. Ensure clock is set correctly.
  2. Press PROGRAM; "PROG" appears on display.
  3. Use HOUR and MINUTE to set desired brew time.
  4. Press PROGRAM again to confirm.
  5. Add water and coffee beans as usual.
  6. Unit will automatically grind and brew at set time.
  7. To cancel program, press and hold PROGRAM until "PROG" disappears.

Note: Power interruption may require resetting clock and program.

Care & Storage

Unplug and cool completely before storage. Store in dry place.

CAUTION! Do not store with water in reservoir. Empty and dry all parts.
