Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on a clean, dry, level surface.

  1. Remove all packaging materials and stickers.
  2. Wash carafe, lid, and filter basket with warm, soapy water. Rinse and dry.
  3. Insert charcoal water filter into filter holder (soak filter first for 15 minutes).
  4. Place empty carafe on warming plate.
  5. Plug power cord into a 120V AC outlet.

WARNING! Do not immerse coffeemaker, cord, or plug in water. Keep away from edges to prevent tipping.

First-Time Setup

Power on coffeemaker; set clock and preferences.

  1. Set the clock: Press and hold HOUR and MINUTE buttons until correct time is displayed.
  2. Prime the filter: Run a cycle with water only (no coffee) to activate charcoal filter.
  3. Adjust auto shut-off: Use SHUT OFF button to select duration (0, 1, 2, or 4 hours).
  4. Test brew: Add water and ground coffee to brew a test pot.

CAUTION! Ensure carafe is properly seated on warming plate before brewing.

Brewing Coffee

For best results, use fresh, cold water and medium grind coffee.

  1. Fill water reservoir: Lift lid, pour water up to 14-cup mark.
  2. Add coffee: Place filter in basket, add 1 tablespoon per cup (adjust to taste).
  3. Start brewing: Press POWER, then BREW. Brewing begins immediately.
  4. Pause & serve: Press BREW PAUSE during cycle to pour a cup.
  5. When complete: Audible signal sounds; auto keep-warm activates.

Tip: For full flavor, wait until brewing completes before removing carafe.

Programming & Timer

Set the coffeemaker to brew automatically at a specific time.

  1. Ensure clock is set correctly.
  2. Press and hold PROGRAM button until "AUTO ON" appears.
  3. Use HOUR and MINUTE to set desired brew time.
  4. Press PROGRAM again to confirm. "AUTO ON" remains lit.
  5. Add water and coffee the night before. Brew will start at set time.
  6. To cancel: Press and hold PROGRAM until "AUTO ON" disappears.

Note: If power is interrupted, reprogram the clock and timer.

Care & Cleaning

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and longevity.

  1. Daily: Empty and rinse carafe and filter basket.
  2. Weekly: Wash removable parts in warm, soapy water.
  3. Monthly: Run self-clean cycle (press CLEAN button, add vinegar solution).
  4. Filter: Replace charcoal water filter every 60 cycles or 2 months.
  5. Exterior: Wipe with damp cloth; do not use abrasive cleaners.

CAUTION! Unplug before cleaning. Never immerse unit in water.
