Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on a clean, dry, stable surface away from edges.

  1. Remove all packaging materials and stickers from carafe, filter basket, and housing.
  2. Insert the charcoal water filter into the filter holder in the water reservoir (soak filter for 15 minutes first).
  3. Place the empty carafe on the warming plate.
  4. Plug the power cord into a standard 120V AC outlet.

WARNING! Do not immerse the coffeemaker, cord, or plug in water or other liquids. Ensure the carafe is properly seated on the warming plate before brewing.

First-Time Setup

Before first use, clean the coffeemaker by running a brewing cycle with water only (no coffee).

  1. Fill the water reservoir to the 14-cup mark with fresh, cold water.
  2. Place a paper filter in the filter basket (no coffee grounds).
  3. Press the POWER button to turn on the unit.
  4. Press BREW to start the cleaning cycle. Discard the water after brewing.
  5. Set the clock: Hold the HOUR and MINUTE buttons to set the current time.

CAUTION! The warming plate, carafe, and brewed coffee will be hot. Handle with care.

Cleaning & Maintenance

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and longevity.

  1. Daily: Empty and rinse carafe and filter basket after each use.
  2. Weekly: Clean the carafe with warm, soapy water; rinse thoroughly.
  3. Monthly: Descale the coffeemaker using a vinegar solution (1 part vinegar to 2 parts water) to remove mineral deposits.
  4. Filter: Replace the charcoal water filter every 60 brew cycles or every 2 months.

Tip: Never use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads on any part of the coffeemaker.

Programming & Operation

To program automatic brew time:

  1. Press PROGRAM; the PROGRAM indicator will blink.
  2. Use HOUR and MINUTE to set the desired brew time.
  3. Press PROGRAM again to confirm. The programmed time will appear on the display.
  4. Ensure the coffeemaker is loaded with water and coffee, and is turned on (POWER button lit).
  5. The coffeemaker will automatically brew at the set time.

To brew manually: Add water and coffee, press POWER, then press BREW. Use BREW PAUSE to pour a cup during brewing.

PerfecTemp™ Technology

Allows you to select the brewing temperature to match your coffee type and preference.

Press PERFECTEMP to cycle through settings. The selected setting will be displayed. Optimal temperature ensures proper extraction and flavor.

Care & Cleaning

Unplug before cleaning. Wipe exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals.

CAUTION! Never immerse the coffeemaker base, cord, or plug in water. Avoid getting water in the control panel.
