Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on a clean, dry, level surface.

  1. Remove all packaging materials from inside and outside the coffee maker.
  2. Wash the carafe, lid, and filter basket with warm, soapy water. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
  3. Insert the charcoal water filter into the filter holder as per instructions.
  4. Plug the power cord into a standard 120V AC electrical outlet.

WARNING! Do not immerse the coffee maker base, cord, or plug in water or other liquids. Ensure the carafe is properly seated before brewing.

First-Time Setup

Power on the coffee maker; set the clock and prepare for first use.

  1. Set the Clock: Press and hold the HOUR and MIN buttons to set the current time.
  2. Prime the Filter: Soak the charcoal water filter in cold water for 15 minutes, then run a cycle of clean water through the machine (without coffee).
  3. Program Auto Brew (Optional): Use the PROGRAM button to set a future brew time.
  4. Select Auto Shut-Off: Press the AUTO OFF button to choose 0, 2, or 4 hours.

CAUTION! Handle the carafe with care as it may be hot after brewing. Place away from edges to prevent tipping.

Display Icons: Clock, Program Set, Auto Off, Brew.

Clock Setting: Hold HOUR/MIN to adjust. Program: Press PROGRAM, then HOUR/MIN to set brew time. Auto Off: Press AUTO OFF to cycle through 0, 2, 4 hours. 1-4 Cup: Press to activate optimized brewing for 1 to 4 cups.

Brewing Coffee

Supports ground coffee. Use the included permanent filter or paper filters.

  1. Fill the carafe with cold water to desired cup level and pour into the water reservoir.
  2. Place the filter in the filter basket. Add ground coffee (1 tablespoon per cup).
  3. Place the empty carafe on the warming plate and close the lid.
  4. Press POWER to start brewing immediately. For programmed brew, ensure time is set.
  5. Use BREW PAUSE & SERVE to pour a cup during the brew cycle.
  6. When brewing is complete, an audible signal will sound. Coffee is kept warm by PerfecTemp.

WARNING! Do not remove the carafe during brewing unless using the Brew Pause feature. Hot liquid can cause burns.

Cleaning & Maintenance

Unplug and cool before cleaning. Descale regularly if using hard water.

  1. Daily: Wash carafe, lid, and filter basket in warm, soapy water.
  2. Monthly: Run a cycle with a mixture of vinegar and water (1:2 ratio) to descale, then run two cycles with clean water to rinse.
  3. Charcoal Filter: Replace every 60 brew cycles or every 2 months.
  4. Exterior: Wipe with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners.

CAUTION! Never immerse the base, cord, or plug in water. Do not use the carafe if cracked or damaged.
