Installation & Setup

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on clean, level, heat-resistant surface.

  1. Remove all packaging materials and stickers.
  2. Wash removable parts: reservoir, drip tray, reusable filter with warm soapy water.
  3. Insert charcoal filter into reservoir: Soak filter 15 minutes, then place in holder.
  4. Fill reservoir with cold water and place back on unit.
  5. Plug into 120V AC outlet.

WARNING! Keep away from edges. Do not place under cabinets when in use.

First-Time Use

Prime the system before first brew.

  1. Ensure reservoir is filled and properly seated.
  2. Place a mug on the drip tray.
  3. Press POWER to turn on. LCD will illuminate.
  4. Without a pod or coffee, press 12 oz brew button. Let water run through into mug.
  5. Discard water. Machine is now ready for brewing.

CAUTION! Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.

Control Panel: POWER, BREW STRENGTH (Regular/Bold), CUP SIZE (6,8,10,12 oz), PROGRAM, DESCALE indicator.

LCD Display: Shows time, programmed brew time, cup size, and alerts.

Programming Auto-Start: Press PROGRAM, use +/- to set time, press PROGRAM again to confirm. Brew Strength: Press to toggle between Regular (standard) and Bold (stronger flavor). Cup Size Selection: Press desired size before brewing. Descale Alert: Flashing light indicates need to descale.

Brewing Guide

For pods or ground coffee.

  1. Ensure power is on and reservoir has water.
  2. Place mug on drip tray.
  3. Lift brew head handle and insert pod OR add ground coffee to reusable filter.
  4. Close brew head firmly.
  5. Select cup size (6,8,10,12 oz).
  6. Select brew strength if desired (Regular/Bold).
  7. Press brew button. Brewing begins immediately.
  8. When finished, lift brew head to discard pod/grounds.

Tip: Preheat mug with hot water for hotter coffee.

Cleaning & Maintenance

Daily: Wipe exterior with damp cloth. Weekly: Clean removable parts.

  1. Unplug and cool completely.
  2. Remove reservoir, drip tray, reusable filter.
  3. Wash with warm soapy water; rinse thoroughly.
  4. Wipe brew head with damp cloth.
  5. Dry all parts before reassembly.
  6. Replace charcoal filter every 2 months or 60 tank refills.

CAUTION! Do not immerse base in water. Never use abrasive cleaners.

Descaling Procedure

Required when DESCALE light flashes (approx. every 3-6 months).

  1. Fill reservoir with 16 oz white vinegar and 16 oz water.
  2. Place large mug or carafe on drip tray.
  3. Press and hold 10 oz and 12 oz buttons together for 3 seconds to start descale mode.
  4. Let half solution brew through, then pause 30 minutes.
  5. Brew remaining solution.
  6. Run 2-3 reservoirs of clean water through to rinse.

WARNING! Use only vinegar or commercial descaling solution. Follow instructions carefully.
