Installation & Setup

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on a clean, stable, heat-resistant surface away from edges.

  1. Insert charcoal filter: Rinse filter under cold water for 30 seconds, then place into filter holder in reservoir.
  2. Fill water reservoir: Remove reservoir, fill with fresh cold water up to MAX line, and reinsert.
  3. Position drip tray: Ensure drip tray is securely in place. Remove if using a travel mug taller than 5 inches.
  4. Plug into 120V AC outlet.

WARNING! Keep away from water sources to prevent electric shock. Do not operate without water in reservoir.

First-Time Use

Cleaning & Maintenance

  1. Daily: Empty and rinse water reservoir. Rinse brew chamber and drip tray with warm water.
  2. Weekly: Wash removable parts (reservoir, drip tray, brew chamber) in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly.
  3. Monthly: Replace charcoal water filter (every 60 cycles or 2 months).
  4. Exterior: Wipe with damp cloth; do not immerse in water or use abrasive cleaners.

CAUTION! Never use vinegar for routine cleaning; use descaling solution as directed in Section 9.

Descaling Procedure

Mineral buildup from hard water can affect performance. Descale every 3-6 months or when flow slows.

  1. Fill reservoir with equal parts white vinegar and water.
  2. Run a brew cycle without coffee into a large mug. Discard liquid.
  3. Repeat with fresh water only for 2-3 cycles to rinse thoroughly.
  4. Perform a final brew cycle with clean water to ensure no vinegar residue remains.
