Installation & Setup

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on clean, level, heat-resistant surface.

  1. Remove all packaging materials and stickers.
  2. Wash removable parts: Reservoir, drip tray, and reusable filter with warm, soapy water.
  3. Fill reservoir with fresh cold water and insert into back of unit.
  4. Plug power cord into 120V AC outlet.

WARNING! Ensure unit is unplugged during cleaning. Keep away from edges to prevent tipping.

First-Time Use

Power on unit; complete initial rinse cycle.

  1. Press POWER button to turn on; lights will illuminate.
  2. Without inserting a pod or coffee, place a mug on drip tray.
  3. Press BREW button to run water through system (repeat 2-3 times).
  4. Set cup size: Press CUP SIZE button to select desired ounce setting.
  5. Program timer (optional): Hold PROGRAM button and use +/- to set auto-brew time.

CAUTION! First brews may have slight plastic taste; this is normal and will dissipate.

Brewing Guide

For pods or ground coffee.

  1. Ensure unit is on and reservoir is filled.
  2. Lift brew head handle and insert pod or add ground coffee to reusable filter.
  3. Close brew head firmly.
  4. Place mug on drip tray.
  5. Press CUP SIZE to select brew amount.
  6. Press BREW; cycle completes in under 60 seconds.
  7. Remove mug; unit enters auto-off after 90 seconds.

Tip: For stronger coffee, use smaller cup size setting or darker roast.

Cleaning & Maintenance

Daily: Wipe exterior with damp cloth. Weekly: Wash reservoir, drip tray, and reusable filter.

  1. Unplug unit and let cool.
  2. Remove reservoir and drip tray; wash in warm, soapy water.
  3. Clean brew head: Wipe with damp cloth to remove coffee residue.
  4. Rinse reusable filter thoroughly.
  5. Dry all parts before reassembly.

WARNING! Do not immerse base in water. Never use abrasive cleaners.

Descaling Procedure

Perform every 3-6 months or when descaling indicator lights.

  1. Fill reservoir with equal parts white vinegar and water.
  2. Place large container (at least 12 oz) on drip tray.
  3. Press and hold CUP SIZE and PROGRAM buttons for 5 seconds to enter descale mode.
  4. Press BREW to start cycle; repeat until reservoir is empty.
  5. Rinse by filling reservoir with clean water and running 2-3 brew cycles.
  6. Descaling indicator will turn off.

CAUTION! Use only vinegar or commercial descaling solution; never use harsh chemicals.
